When you take an organic alphabet and you force it into a typewriting system, you can have interesting compromises. Typewriter typefaces have to deal with the constrains of a width system that forces shapes into a specific space. The concept is to explore what could happen when we deal with two different technical constrictions and to understand how to obtain several black and white textures, thanks to the fixed proportions of a monospaced typeface and the variation of widths for each style. Iki Mono is available on CAST foundry.
